Mysteries are all around us, and the greatest, most fascinating mysteries of life are to be savored and not resolved.Perhaps the most amazing and humbling discovery of modern science is the fact that 99 per cent of all existence is not only invisible to our senses and instruments, but also without mass or configuration. Even the 1 per cent that comprises our physical universe is solid only because of relatively stable configurations of energy. Among the greatest scientists — including Niels Bohr, Max Planck, and Werner Heisenberg — it has been conceded that there is room in a rational universe for incomprehensible wonders.
Albert Einstein said:
“ The most beautiful emotion we can experience is the mystical. It is the power of true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms — this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religiousness.”
